The strength of our community lies in the willingness of registered adults to volunteer their time in a leadership role.  Some adults prefer to work directly with the girls in a troop setting and others find that they can support the Girl Scout mission by taking on roles that support our entire community.  Won't you please consider helping us in one of the following ways?
 
  • Service Unit Librarian:  a volunteer who will catalogue our community resources, store them, and maintain a borrowing log
  • Service Unit Manager:  a three year term as one of the co-leaders of our service unit.  Liasion between the council and our community Girl Scout leaders.  Training is provided by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey council.  Please contact our current service unit manager for more details. 
  • Community Event Organizers:  many volunteers are needed to offer events to our community.  A list of events that have historically been offered is available, but we are always interested in new ideas.  This can be done as a troop or an individual may decide to organize an outing.
  • Troop Organizer (Lake Hopatcong):  a volunteer to collect all paperwork from registration and organize girls into Troops.  Requires a lot of phone work, works closely with registrar, place girls into new troops and existing as needed.
